So this is hard. We had to say goodbye to our sweet office cat, OC. In July of 2020 we decided to rescue OC, he was only about 2 month old. We took him to the vet and were given the terrible news that he tested positive for feline leukemia. Because of that we could not bring him home, the disease is very contagious to other cats. We were also told that his life would likely be short and when the disease started to progress we should not let him suffer. We decided he could be an office cat. Because of COVID the office was pretty much empty and we were still coming in to do the show so we'd see him. We'd come to the station on our days off to take care of him. OC thrived. He was goofy, affectionate, playful and a joy. He like to run up and down the halls, get into everything, sit on his perch and lay on our desks. Last month, when he stopped eating, running and playing we knew he was in trouble. We took him to our vet, he was examined, got an x-ray and the news was what we feared. He was suffering and it would only get worse and we had to let him go, so we did. He was very much loved and is sadly missed. We got to spend just over a year with him and we are glad he was in our life. The office feels empty without him, but he is still on my (Sally's)desk.
