As you likely know I (Sally) feed some feral cats here at the station. I do try to get as many as I can spayed or neutered. Lately I have had some pregnant females around and one gave birth a few weeks ago and brought her kittens here. They got up under an old truck in the parking lot. The good news is the truck has not moved in years, the bad news is the kittens crawled up into the truck and it's locked so I could not get them out. First photo is mamma cat, second are two of her four kittens.
Through my friend, Stacey from Adopt-A-Cat (where we got Turk), I met Cathy The Cat Trapper! I told her about what was happening and I had other cats that needed to be fixed. She was on it. She works with Peggy Adams Animal Rescue. Cathy met me at the station on Saturday, big problem the truck was locked and since it had not been moved in years no idea where the key was and the key pad on the door did not work. So I called a locksmith. Nathan with Connection came and he was a real hero. Not only did he get the door unlocked very quickly, he wanted to help rescue kittens! He told us he has just recently adopted a dog and is an animal lover. If you look close at the second photo you can see two black and white kittens.
Right now we got two of the kittens. They will be available for adoption soon! Let us know if your are interested. Mother cat is still at the station because there are still two kittens out here. We are doing our best to find them.
Cathy also caught a 6 month old female black cat and a grey and white cat that was a new to me. I'll keep you posted on our progress and will post photos of kittens and cats and let you know when they are ready for adoption!
Happy Mother's Day
