Some Fun Things To Do This Weekend

Looking for something to do in the area this weekend? Let us help you. Here are some things that are going on, plus Girl Scout Cookies!

The Girl Scouts will be outside of 23 Duffy’s locations throughout Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties tonight (Fri) from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. When you buy a box of cookies for the military, you'll get a free box of cookies as part of the Girl Scouts' "Cookies for the Military" program.

Load the kids in the car and head to the South Florida Fairgrounds for the Dinosaur Adventure. It's a drive-through event featuring life-sized dinosaurs for $49 per vehicle and yes, a 40-foot tall T-Rex will be among them. It's going on all weekend and again next Thursday through Sunday.

The 31st Annual Downtown Stuart Art Festival happens Saturday and Sunday along Osceola Street, featuring more than 150 local and national artists. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.

The St. Lucie County Fair opens tonight in Fort Pierce with masks being required. It features, rides, games, live music and other entertainment and it runs through Sunday March 7.

Major League Baseball spring training games get underway this weekend. The Miami Marlins open against the Houston Astros at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach and the St. Louis Cardinals host the Washington Nationals at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter. Both games have 1 p.m. starts on Sunday. A limited number of tickets are being sold, but they're going fast.
