So many of you know that I (Sally) recently went back to my hometown of Radford, Virginia to be with my brother, Johnny, who was ill. He passed shortly after I got there, he was surrounded by his surviving sisters, me, Ann and Susan.
I wanted to thank everyone who took the time on social media to offer me and my family your love and support. It means so much.
I thought I'd share some photos of the beautiful church I grew up in, Grace Episcopal Church. My parents turned an old unused playground in the back of the church into a garden. My oldest sister, Jean, had her wedding reception there. The garden would also be a place where church members could have their ashes buried, sadly Jean was the first person to be placed there. My parents are in the garden too and now my brother. It's a beautiful place, a place close to my heart.
