Every year, we radio folk get asked to do the honors of throwing out the first pitch at a minor league baseball game for either the Marlins, Cardinals, Astros or Nationals.
Every year, we fret about it for weeks, but usually never actually get out there and practice throwing to our kids or even each other.
Some of us do well and manage to get the ball over the plate. For others, it's pretty much the tragedy they envisioned from the start.
Then, there's this nun who got to throw out the first pitch at a Chicago White Sox game on Saturday. Just let me say that I hope she never comes to town and puts on the performance from the mound that she did over the weekend.
