Mo's Recipe Of The Week: Butter Board

Butter Board

So Mo wants to make a butter board. Here is what we did but you can make it your own! Have fun with it.

Here is what you need:

2 sticks salt free, good quality butter, softened (1 cup of butter)

3 garlic cloves thinly sliced

½ cup of chopped nuts

2 TBS finely chopped chives

zest from one orange and one lemon

1 TBS of fresh herbs of your choice

1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

3 TBS honey

sea salt

olive oil

Here is what you need to do:

Heat some olive oil in a sauté pan about medium high heat. Add the garlic after about 30 seconds flip the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds. Careful it burns very easily. Remove from pan and place on paper towels to drain.

Spread butter evenly on a platter or cutting board. Scatter the garlic, nuts, chives, zest, herbs and red pepper flakes evenly across your butter spread.

Season with salt and finally a drizzle of honey.

Serve with crackers, toasted bread and radishes. Let’s Eat!!
