Volunteer of the Week - Annabelle Ford

Annabelle Ford is a high school senior who created a club called “My Friend’s Closet” to help families at Jupiter Elementary School and in her community.

Annabelle and her club members pick up donated clothes, make sure the clothing is clean, and organizes the clothing by size and gender.

For the past year, Annabelle has been coordinating clothing drives at Jupiter Elementary. She always has bins full of clothing and a smile on her face. She lays out all the clothes by size and gender on the cafeteria tables and gives families bags to fill.

When the event is over, Annabelle always makes sure Jupiter Elementary School has the next clothing drive marked on their calendar.

Thank you, Annabelle Ford, for being a difference maker, helping one family at a time!

If you have a spare hour or two, why not volunteer in a Palm Beach County public school? Volunteers come from all age groups, economic backgrounds, and educational levels. Simply go to a neighborhood school or contact the School District’s Volunteer Coordinator at (561) 738-2780. Help a student and school. It's a great way to support our communities and our world.
