Volunteer of the Week - Omar Vega

Omar Vega started the Watch D.O.G.S. program in 2017 at Wellington Landings Middle School.

Omar oversees each new member, ensuring that each new dad understands the program. He plans parent nights and patrols the hallways. He mentors the young men on campus and teaches them the importance of proper etiquette.

Omar volunteers at dances, concerts, and athletic games. He is also Wellington Landing’s resident gardener.

Thank you Omar Vega for all you do!

If you have a spare hour or two, why not volunteer in a Palm Beach County public school? Volunteers come from all age groups, economic backgrounds, and educational levels. Simply go to a neighborhood school or contact the School District’s Volunteer Coordinator at (561) 738-2780. Help a student and school. It's a great way to support our communities and our world.
