Omar Vega is an active volunteer at Wellington Landings Middle School, where his daughter attends.
Omar is a dad who brought Watch D.O.G.S. to the school. Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is an innovative program focusing on education and safety by using the positive influence of fathers and father figures.
Research shows that when fathers or father figures are involved, their students learn more and perform better. There seems to be an amazing response from everyone.
Thanks, Omar Vega, for being a top DOG at the school!
If you have a spare hour or two, why not volunteer in a Palm Beach County public school? Volunteers come from all age groups, economic backgrounds, and educational levels. Simply go to a neighborhood school or contact the School District’s Volunteer Coordinator at (561) 434-8789. Help a student and school. It's a great way to support our communities and our world.
