You gotta love this story. In case you missed this, it involves two 5 year old boys, one named Jax, the other named Reddy. So Jax asks his mom if he could get a buzz-cut to match his friend Reddy's haircut. Jax was hoping that their teacher wouldn't be able to tell them apart due to the matching haircuts. Which is really kind of funny, because Jax is white and Reddy is black! Jax's mom was very touched by this, and shared the story on Facebook, saying "I'm sure you all see the resemblance." The post went viral and the teacher played along, pretending not to know which child was which! As Jax's mom said, "If this isn't proof that hate and prejudice is something that is taught, I don't know what is." And once again, we can all learn a valuable lesson, courtesy of our kids, who truly are colorblind to race.
