Sometimes we learn our greatest lessons from our kids. Makenna Wooburn, who is 7 years old, was at a Boston Red Sox Spring Training Open House, and was waiting in line for some player autographs. Suddenly she spotted a hero, and she gave up her spot in line to approach this hero for an autograph. Only thing is, this hero wasn't a ballplayer. It was a soldier. Olyvia Russell is a US Army Reservist who attended the event in uniform. Russell, who is fairly new to the military, said that this was the "weirdest, best experience ever"...and proved to her that what she is doing is worthwhile. Meanwhile, little Makenna wants to always keep the signed baseball, and bring it to school for show and tell. How about the wisdom of a 7 year old to spot the REAL hero in the crowd!
