The seafood returns to Martin County this weekend, for the Stuart Seafood Festival. Organizer Lainey Ruskay says the local music returns as well.
"Just talking to the community, they like to see the local artists come out for the event and support them. It's really such a community-based event that we just gear it towards that way. So this year I really tried hard to feature some of the new and upcoming ones and give them a chance to get out there and perform in front of everybody."
She says the bands will play a variety of music, from classic rock, to country, oldies and reggae. And what about the seafood?
"Being on the Treasure Coast and having so many great local restaurants and little catering companies that you see around town...what better way to bring them together and let them showcase what they have."
