3 Boynton Police Officers Credited With Getting Gun Out Of Felon's Hands

The Boynton Beach Police Department are crediting the work of three officers for getting another gun off the streets, and we honor them for "Protecting the Palm Beaches."

Officers Antonio Donnino and Andrew Berben were responding to shots fired near Northeast 20th Avenue Tuesday night.  Witnesses say a man fired a gunshot from a car with two young children inside.

Sergeant Brian McDeavitt spotted the suspect vehicle getting on I-95 at Boynton Beach Boulevard.  He pulled the car over with a female driver, male passenger and two kids ages one and 2.  During a search of the vehicle, officers found a handgun and bullets in the glove box.

The passenger, 36-year old Cleavon Allen, was taken into custody on charges of possession of a weapon. Boynton Beach Police say he is a five time convicted felon.
