The city of Lake Worth is voting Tuesday on stricter rules regarding bicycles left abandoned on public property.
The city commission is voting on an amended ordinance that will allow the removal of abandoned bikes after 48 hours. Those bicycles will be stored in a secure location until they are either claimed or discarded after a certain period of time, should the ordinance be approved.
The ordinance would also call for bike riders to be cited if they are caught riding on any railway platform or pedestrian way within city limits.
