Several Florida cities made the top 10 "Best Place to Retire" list according to US News and World Report.
The report says that PSL has a more relaxed atmosphere than its larger neighbors, pointing out that the city is halfway between Orlando and Miami.Port St. Lucie is ranked 8th on the list. Florida holds eight of the top ten, including number 1, Sarasota for the second year in a row. Other Florida cities in the Top 10 are Naples (2), Daytona Beach (3), Melbourne (4), Tampa (6), Fort Myers (7) and Pensacola (10).
New factors of good air quality and low crime rate helped Daytona Beach rise 12 spots from last year to #3 this year.
Miami plummeted from 9 last year to 48 now.
