Jon Bon Jovi explains that the classic 1962 photo "pictures the President reflecting both literally and figuratively upon a crowd in California. I saw this photo and wondered what the President was thinking."
Since his album 2020 includes several "socially conscious songs," Bon Jovi got his own photographer,Clay McBride, to capture him in a similar expression and mood.
