Horse Falls Into Pool In Lake Worth

Horse in Lake Worth

First responders were called to a home in Lake Worth yesterday when they got a report of a drowning. When they arrived on scene, they were surprised to find out it wasn't a human drowning, but instead a horse stuck in the pool.

Thanks to the fire rescue crews and this Palm Beach County Sheriff's Deputy who stepped into the water in full uniform, they were able to calm the horse down and coax him out.

This poor horse fell into the pool today. Luckily our Deputy on the scene was there to calm the horse down before Palm Beach County Fire Rescue removed him from pool. This deputy has 22 days left before retiring.🐎👮🙌🏼#PBSOProud

A later report shared that the horse was suffering from colic when he ended up in the pool. Sadly, he did not survive.

This horse was suffering from colic at the time he fell into this pool. He had some cuts on him from this happening but treating him continued on for hours. He did not make it sadly and everyone at my barn is devastated," the commenter wrote. "Him falling in the pool had nothing to do with his death at all. Thank you again to all the guys that helped with getting him out especially Mitch. He was the best horse anyone could have asked for. Such a crazy pool adventure on his last day with us."
