Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary over the weekend and commemorated the special occasion with a precious Instagram post. McConaughey shared a single photo to social media, thanking the stunning mother-of-three for being his partner in this unpredictable adventure we call life. The photo in question depicts the Dallas Buyers Club actor kissing his wife's forehead with a beautiful sunset backdrop.
The 54-year-old actor is seen wearing a cowboy hat and denim jacket as Camila, 41, dons a soft smile. According to Page Six, the couple sparked relationship rumors after meeting at a club in 2006. McConaughey described the exact moment he met the love of his life during an interview with People in 2016.
“Out of the corner of my eye, this sort of aqua-green figure went floating across the frame about 20 feet in front of me. My eye went up and I remember what came out of my mouth. I didn’t say, ‘Who is that?’ I went, ‘What is that? As l was trying to get that’s attention across the room, I went in my head, ‘This is not the kind of woman you call over across the room, McConaughey. Get your ass out of your chair and go get her.’ Which I did."
The lovebirds have since welcomed three beautiful children into the world, Levi, 15, Vida, 14, and Livingston, 11, amid many years and happy memories together.
