There's a new interim City Manager in Miami Beach. In a six-to-one vote, Commissioners agree to appoint assistant City Manager Raquel Williams to the position for a thirty-day transition period as Alina Hudak resigns almost a year before her contract expires. Mayor Steven Meiner was the only no vote, saying the process was completely botched and made on the fly. He wanted Deputy City Manager Eric Carpenter to take over. Williams formally takes over tomorrow.
