A former Boca Raton attorney is charged with first-degree murder after a dead body was found at his father’s law office.
34-year old Brandon Labiner was arrested over the weekend and appeared in court on Monday, where a judge ordered him to be held with no bond.
A man was found unresponsive in a pool of blood with several gunshot wounds in the parking garage of a building owned by the suspect's father, Paul Labiner.
Police traced Brandon Labiner to a law office down the road that he owns and the man had barricaded himself inside. He eventually came out of the building and was taken into custody.
Records show the younger Labiner was suspended by the Florida Bar in April after his father filed a complaint that his son had stolen 450 thousand dollars from his mother's trust.
Police say the relationship between the suspect and victim is under investigation.
