Joe Scott Wins The Race For Broward County Supervisor Of Elections

A brand new race for many Broward County Residents took place. There's a new Supervisor of Elections. Democrat Joe Scott (65%) took the win over Republican Catherine McBreen (35%). In his new post, Joe Scott will be in charge of elections for the 1.2 million registered voters in Broward County.

Scott’s background is in the military and in technology. He graduated from West Point Academy and was awarded the Bronze Star after serving a tour of duty in Iraq. The current post was held by Peter Antonacci, who was appointed by Governor DeSantis in 2018 to replace Dr. Brenda Snipes after her suspension over the handling of the 2018 Midterm Elections.
