Palm Beach Fine Art Show

HotWorks.org 13thBoca Raton Fine Art Showtook place this past weekend in downtownBoca Raton’s Sanborn Square Park, N.E. 1stAvenue and E. Boca Raton Road.The show included 155 quality juried artists, whose work was original and personally handmade by the artist at the show. We were blessed with beautiful weather this year.

Professional artist awards were judged bySally Bright,a retired basketry sculptor artist who participated and won many awards in top-notch juried art shows for 35 years. Criteria was based on originality, technique/execution and booth appearance. Awards were presented Saturday afternoon. Joining us wereBoca Raton Council Member Andrea O’RourkeandPalm Beach County Commissioner Robert Weinroth. All award winners are juried into the January show for 2021 as long as his/her work has not dramatically changed and the jury fee is waived.

As part of our commitment to bring art education into the community, aBudding Artist Competitionis integrated within the art show. Sponsored byInstitute for the Arts & Education, Inc., the associated 501c3 non-profit that focuses on visual arts, community enrichment, cultural diversity, and fostering art education among youth, this unique and one-of-a-kind program encourages students in grades 6-12 or ages 9-19 to create his/her original art and exposes students to the rules and entrepreneurship opportunity of doing art shows for a living. It brings families to the art show who might not otherwise attend and exposes them to great art.

Mixed Media Artist Zaki was the Budding Artist Judge, with $250 in youth art awards. Judging is based on originality and technique/execution. Winners were:

Three $50 Budding Artist Awards of Excellence:
