Thomas Markle Released Never-Before-Seen Photos Of Young Meghan Markle

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Visit Northern Ireland

A new Channel 5 documentary focused on Meghan Markle's estranged father aired on Wednesday (January 22). Thomas Markle: My Story — as the title suggests— tells "his side of the story" regarding his fall out with Meghan and Prince Harry. Though Meghan and Harry have both made it clear (through a private letter sent to Thomas, which he then shared with the Daily Mail) that there issue is that he keeps talking about them to the press, Thomas continues to do exactly that.

Thomas spoke about a number of topics during the documentary, including feeling "jealous" of Prince Charles when he walked Meghan down the aisle at her wedding and the day Meghan was born. "When she was born I couldn’t have been happier. They handed her to me, I saw her face, her little fingers wrapped around my fingers and that was it, I was in love," he said. "I just knew she was going to be special. I was just knocked out by that child. She was just beautiful and I just couldn’t put her down."

While talking about Meghan's birth and her childhood, the documentary showed a number of never-before-seen photos of the Duchess as a little girl. The photos have since been published on the Daily Mail. Thomas shared home videos from Meghan's high school graduation, as well, which also feature her mom, Doria Ragland, and her paternal grandfather. A few clips of Meghan performing in her high school theater productions aired in the to documentary, too.

Thomas attempted to defend his decision to continually criticize his daughter publicly, as well as release private information and photos about her childhood. "At this point, they owe me. The royals owe me. Harry owes me, Meghan owes me," he said. "What I've been through I should be rewarded for. My daughter told me that when I reach my senior years she'll take care of me. I'm in my senior years now – it's time to look after Daddy."

"To them I don't exist and now Harry, whether he realizes it or not, is part of my family and I'm part of his," Thomas continued. "We should be talking. He's not 12 years old any more – he's got no right to be this sensitive."

Meghan and Harry have not responded to Thomas' documentary, however, they recently threatened legal action over paparazzi photos taken of Meghan and Archie. We'll just have to wait and see if they respond in kind to the release of more private photos of the Duchess.
