Miracle Dog Rescued From The Bahamas Meets His New Family

What a perfect ending to a sad story!

The dog that captured South Florida's heart after a life-saving rescue from The Bahamas, meets his furever family for the first time. For the past month, "Miracle" has been recovering at Big Dog Ranch Rescue, monitored 24 hours a day to maintain a strict feeding schedule. In October, rescue crews sent a thermal drone to Marsh Harbour to find pets trapped underneath the rubble. It barely detected Miracle.

BDRR says the dog was trapped underneath an air conditioning unit, stuck there for three-and-a-half weeks. Miracle only survived by drinking from puddle of water nearby. BDRR Founder, Lauree Simmons, shared, "He’s a fighter, and he’s got the will to live. He knows he’s got good things coming." Miracle is just one of more than 160 dogs rescued from the Bahamas that need to be adopted.
