Taylor Swift Will Be Named Artist of the Decade at 2019 AMAs

QUEEN! Taylor Swift is being honored at this year's upcoming American Music Awards with the covted Artist of the Decade award — and in true Taylor fashion, it is happening during the 13th year of her career.

In announcing the exciting news, the awards show shared of all her incredible career achievements, "She's won more #AMAs than anyone this decade... She's a five-time 2019 #AMAs nominee... AND she's performing at this year's #AMAs LIVE on Nov. 24... @taylorswift13 is our ARTIST OF THE DECADE!"

At this year's AMAs, Taylor is up for Artist of the Year, Favorite Female Artist Pop/Rock, Favorite Album Pop/Rock for Lover, Favorite Music Video for "You Need To Calm Down," and Favorite Artist Adult Contemporary. If she wins even two AMAs this year, she could break the record for most AMA wins of all time, which was previously held by Michael Jackson with 24 wins.

T-Swift will also be taking the stage during the 47th annual awards show with a career-spanning performance, which is reportedly expected to include her biggest hits from over the last 13 years.

Taylor has achieved so much throughout the last 13 years, breaking countless records, and this year has been even more exciting with the release of her new album Lover. She's also appearing in the upcoming CATS movie and is currently appearing on The Voice as a "Mega Mentor." Fans are also gearing up for her Lover Fest East and Lover Fest West events next year.

And on her 30th birthday (December 13th), Taylor will be taking the stage at this year's iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York City, alongside a lineup of star artists. Fans can tune in and watch her perform live via an exclusive livestream on The CW App and CWTV.com. The CW Network will also broadcast the event as a nationwide special on Thursday, December 19th at 8pm ET.

The 2019 American Music Awards will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 24th and air live on ABC at 8pm ET. Most nominated this year is Post Malone with seven noms total while Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish each received six nods.
