Fisherman Spots Whale Shark Off The Coast Of Palm Beach

This is something you don't see every day! A whale shark off the coast of Palm Beach County. Really, the largest fish in the sea, it was about 25-30 feet long and rubbed up against the boat...very docile. Would be quite a sight to see.

JUNO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A whale shark was spotted just south of the Juno Beach pier on Friday. According to Captain Johnny from Blue Heron Fishing charters, the whale shark looked to be about 25 to 30 feet long. The fishing boat was in about 110 feet of water, Captain Johnny told CBS12 News.

"It was an amazing experience," Captain Johnny said. "Once in a lifetime, maybe even five lifetimes. Forever grateful." Video of the animal shows it slowly approach the boat. A whale shark was spotted just south of the Juno Beach pier on Friday.
