Bananas Fly During Convenience Store Vandalism Caught On Camera

This video from our partners at CBS12 shows a vandalism in progress at a 7-11 in Davie, FL...actually just down the road a bit from my home! And it's all caught on camera. Ten days ago, police in Davie said five people walked into a 7-Eleven store and berated the clerk. The clerk locked himself in the office when the group of people started to destroy the store. Surveillance video from police showed the group hurling bananas, tipping over display racks, and smashing computers in the store. One man even punched the front glass window. The vandals left the store before police arrived. However, police said one man dropped his wallet which included his ID.

Just over an hour later, police said two men went back to the store to ask about the wallet. Police arrested both of them. Jacob Jones and Damon Parrotta claimed they didn't know the other folks involved in the store vandalism.

Call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-494-TIPS if you have any information. You will remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward if your tip leads to an arrest.
