Paralyzed 16-Year-Old Fort Lauderdale Lacrosse Player Is Walking Again

16-Year-Old Chase Lalonde, the captain of the lacrosse team at Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale, suffered a blow to his spine in early March and was paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors weren't sure if he would ever walk again. This past Thursday he beat the odds and walked on his own at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital to the cheers of his doctors, rehab coaches and his teammates. He has a long road ahead, but this young man has an amazing spirit and it's very cool that he has made such amazing progress.
