How To Get Around Skimmers At Gas Stations

Filling your car/truck up with gas this weekend?  There may be a better way to pay for your gas, other than sliding your credit card through what could be a skimmer attached to the pump by criminals.  I always use Apple Pay direct from my phone activated by my thumb print.  All Wawa stores have them now, both at the pump and in the store...same with Panera Bread, newer Cumberland stores and many others.  More gas stations are going for methods that don't require swiping.  

There are also ways to pay virtually anyone (no pun intended) through your cell phone electronically thanks to new banking apps like Zelle.   Not all of these systems are perfect, but we are getting there.  Check out the story from our TV partners at CBS12.  Also check out a review of the new payment methods below.
