Sally's Recipe Of The Week: Marinated Skirt Or Flank Steak

Marinated Flank or Skirt Steak
Serves 2 to 4

Here is what you will need:

1 flank or 2 skirt steaks (I used skirt)
4 cloves minced garlic
1 TBS minced garlic
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 TBS fresh lime juice
1 TBS roasted sesame oil
4 grinds of black pepper
salt

Put everything but the salt and steak into a large plastic bag and mix it well.

Place the steak in the bag and push out as much air as you can. Coat the entire steak with marinade.  Place in fridge for 4 hours or up to one day.

Remove steak from marinade and let it get to room temperature, about 30 minutes.

Get your grill, or grill pan nice and hot. I like to sprinkle my steak with a little salt before putting it on the grill. Don't do to much because there was soy sauce in the marinade, some people skip the extra salt step.

Grill about 3 to 4 minutes per side. I like medium rare steak. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
