A fishing boat captain this week recorded video of an endangered Right Whale just three miles off the coast.
A biologist at Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota says that seeing a North Atlantic Right Whale in the Gulf of Mexico is extremely rare. Only five sightings have occurred since 1963, with the last one coming 12 years ago.
