Brightline Posts Digital Signs After Train Deaths

Brightline's Signs

As you drive up to many crossings at the FEC Railroad tracks, you may notice new digital signs telling you to "Drive safely" and "Stay off the train tracks," along with another one that reads "More and faster trains."

Brightline has been putting up those signs throughout Palm Beach County after three people were struck, two of them killed, by Brightline trains during its first week of service between West Palm and Fort Lauderdale.  In all cases, police say the victims tried to beat the train while the crossing arms were down.

Right now, the signs are up along Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton, Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, Lucerne Avenue and Tenth Avenue North in Lake Worth, with plans to post more in Boynton Beach, Lantana and West Palm Beach.
