Residents & Businesses Asked To Join Martin's Eye Watch Program

Warning Over UKs Use Of Surveillance Technology

Some local authorities are looking for residents with surveillance cameras to sign up for a program aimed at finding suspects faster.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office is asking people with external cameras to join the voluntary Eye Watch program, in an effort to develop a digital map, which will show which addresses have surveillance cams and which residents and business owners are okay with law enforcement reviewing video to search for suspects in crimes.

Currently, deputies must go door to door in search of video.

To register, call Trisha Kukuvka at the Martin County Sheriff’s Office at 772-320-4737 or email: tmkukuvka@sheriff.martin.fl.us.
