President Trump & First Family Visit Palm Beach

US-POLITICS-TRUMP-DEPARTS

President Trump and the first family come to town Tuesday to spend Thanksgiving at Mar-a-Lago.

According to the FAA, Air Force One is expected to land at Palm Beach International around 5:15 p.m.  A barricade of school buses are at the airport, to protect the President and his family when they arrive.

The visit may impact your drive as Trump's motorcade will be heading to his Palm Beach estate in the middle of rush hour.

We're told a helicopter has been delivered to Mar-a-Lago and a helipad has been built on the back lawn, but Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw tells us that the chopper is not likely to be used on a regular basis.  It would only be used for emergency purposes, so that's not likely to help curb traffic issues for the 15 to 20 minutes while the motorcade rolls down Southern Boulevard to Mar-a-Lago.

Air and boating restrictions will be going into place while the president is in town until Sunday.
