Florida's Department of Economic Opportunity reports job growth both statewide and here in Palm Beach County.
October's unemployment rate was at 3.6 percent, down 1.3 percent from a year ago. The industry gaining the most jobs year over year was professional and business services, up 3 percent.
Palm Beach County's 3.6 percent rate last month was down a tenth of a percent from September and down from 5.0 percent in October 2016.
Local employers created 16,000 jobs in the past year.
