The concert celebrates the life and career of the disco Queen, Donna Summer, from the mouth of her very own sister and back-up singer, Mary Gaines Bernard. Mary, who traveled and performed with her sister throughout her booming career calls the concert a "family get together". "I'm meeting more cousins every show" say Bernard. Fans of all ages connect with Summer's songs. "Her songs are a soundtrack to people's lives. When I sing Donna's hits likeHot StufforLove to Love You Baby, it transends people, including myself, to a time when they were younger and life was easier," says Bernard.
In addition to great music, patrons will hear untold stories from Summer's tours and private life, including details about her last moments on earth. The celebration encourages patrons to dance into the New Year.
