There are plenty of ways to show your respect for Veterans in honor of the Veterans Day holiday.

At 1 p.m. in North Palm Beach, the Village is hosting an event to celebrate the Grand Opening and dedication of its new Veterans Memorial Park. Florida's Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater will give a keynote address in his hometown.

Atlantic Christian Academy in West Palm Beach is holding a collection drive for Forgotten Soldiers Outreach. It starts at 1 p.m. and is being held in the gym at the school. This is the second year the school is sending care packages to soldiers.

In Royal Palm Beach, a candlelight service will take place at 6 p.m. This is happening at Veterans Park Amphitheatre. The park is located off Royal Palm Beach Blvd.

In Port St. Lucie there will be a dedication of "Fallen Soldier Memorial" and a ceremony featuring Mayor JoAnn M. Faiella and an American soldier who was held captive for 44 months in a Japanese slave camp during World War II at 11am at Veterans Memorial Park on Veterans Memorial Parkway.

A Veterans Day Remembrance lunch happens at noon at The Brennity at Tradition, 10685 SW Stony Creek Way in Port St. Lucie.

And the American Legion Post 40 will hold a ceremony at 11am at Riverwalk Park in Fort Pierce (600 N. Indian River Drive).
