Three local public high schools, two of them magnet programs, ranked in the Top 100 nationwide on a list released yesterday by "The Washington Post" showing the most challenging high schools in the nation.

The Palm Beach Post reports Suncoast High School, a magnet program in Riviera Beach specializing in math and engineering programs, was ranked as the eighth most challenging high school in the nation, making it the most challenging high school in South Florida and the second highest in the state. Boca Raton High School ranked 22nd on the list created by The Washington Post, and the Dreyfoos School of the Arts, an arts-based magnet school in West Palm Beach that serves students countywide, ranked 69th.
