Palm Beach County's students performed better than their peers in other Florida school districts when it comes to nearly all of the end-of-course exams taken this spring.
State education officials say the percentage of students in all grades who passed those exams for algebra I, geometry and biology were higher than the statewide average.
Local students also beat out students in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties.
71 percent of the 13,000 kids who took the algebra test passed. 67 percent of those taking the history end-of-course exams passed and that was good for second place in the state. Hillsborough County came in at number one in that test.
