More than 66-hundred acres of land has been rehabilitated in Northern Palm Beach County. According to our news partners at News Channel Five, the new Pine Glades Natural Area west of Jupiter Farms has been opened. At one time it was an old rock mine pit, but in just a few short years, the county has restored it to its natural South Florida ecosystem. There's a fishing pier, hiking trails and a kayak launch. It's open sun up to sun down and is patrolled by the sheriff's department. It's off Indiantown Road, about 7 miles west of I-95 and the Turnpike.
