There's a workshop today in Tallahassee on how our state will deal with medical marijuana.

Florida's Department of Health is hosting the session during which officials will plan and prepare for when people with cancer or epilepsy can begin being prescribed canabis with low levels of THC.

The law allowing that strain of medical marijuana, known as "Charlotte's Web", goes into effect on January first.

Florida voters in November will decide whether other strains of marijuana may be prescribed for medical conditions.
