A Tampa man who is pulling a homemade rickshaw behind him as he walks across the state has logged more than 1,000 miles on his journey.  Only 4,000 more to go.

Brett Bartholomew says he's walking to raise money for hungry kids.  He says 850,000 kids in Florida go to bed hungry each night, so he's asking people to donate one penny per mile.

The trek began in Tampa and he's already walked through Lakeland, Ocala, Gainesville, Tallahassee and Pensacola.  Bartholomew plans to walk through every single county in the state of Florida.

The man says he grew up homeless and hungry and wants to help kids avoid what he went through.
