Friday, October 11th is "Spirit Day" at Clear Channel Palm Beach, so the entire Morning Rush team from NewsRadio 1290 WJNO will be among the folks from these radio stations who will be helping to build the station-sponsored Habitat for Humanity homes in Jupiter.

The local affiliate of the non-profit, Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County, has been working under the "Home for the Holidays" campaign.  We want these families to be in their new homes in time for Thanksgiving and it looks like we're on track, but your help both physical and financial will go a long way in ensuring that it does indeed happen.

We spoke with Roxanne Jacobs during the Morning Rush on Friday.  She is the Director of Development for Habitat for Humanity of PBC, and has this message to those with a little bit of extra money to help out.  "We receive no dedicated federal, state or county funds to build home so all the money that we get is through traditional fundraising and the sales in our thrift stores."

If you don't have a chunk of change right now to donate, you have the ability to make automatic payments on a monthly basis.  Roxanne says "all they have to do is go to our website, and there's a "Donate Now" button and you can set up a reoccuring money donation of anything you want. Anything helps."
