If you have a teen who's looking for work, he or she may want to apply for seasonal employment.  Sailfish Splash Waterpark in Stuart is now accepting applications to fill 136 jobs, which are aimed at students in high school or college.

The waterpark is operated by Martin County Parks and Recreation, where Marketing Coordinator Craig Anderson tells us the jobs include lifeguards, concession attendants and cashiers. Pay ranges from $8 to $12.50 per hour.

The 3rd season for Sailfish Splash runs from March 22 through Labor Day.

Everyone hired as a lifeguard will undergo training, so beginners are welcome.

Anderson says Palm Beach County residents are more than welcome to apply.  He tells us that the waterpark, though in Martin County, has been an economic boon for Palm Beach County as well.

Two statewide swim meet events were held on the competitive side of the park last year, bringing thousands of people to the area, and many of those people stayed at hotels in PBC.

Anderson estimates that the two events brought in $1.25 million to the area spread out between northern Palm Beach and southern St. Luice County.
