You've been hearing us talk about the "Home for the Holidays" campaign with Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County.  There is a Kool 105.5 home and a NewsRadio 1290 WJNO home, both being built at the Kennedy Estates II community in Jupiter.

These homes will soon be lived in by working families who will be paying off a 30 year interest-free mortgage, and in the meantime are joining the volunteers, in helping to build these homes.

While Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County needs your help with that, they also need small business owners to pitch in.

According to Peter Gates, the non-profit's Director of Retail Operations, "We are very interested in flooring. We do tile and rug carpet for the homes. Any business...electrical, lighting, flooring, furniture...anything you could possibly use in a house, we would absolutely be willing to take in."

He tells us that businesses can donate items to be furnished in these homes, or you could simply suggest to your customers upon purchasing a new item, to donate the old item to Habitat and those items can be sold in the Habitat for Humanity of PBC Re-Store, which is in Riviera Beach.

If you own a small business, listen to our conversation with Peter Gates and contact Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County to find out what to do next.  You can get Peter direct at 561-253-2080, Ext. 113 or go to
